I had heard a story that this building was named for Dr. George Avery Bunting, the initial manufacturer and marketer of Noxzema.

After doing research I discovered that Dr. Bunting was an 1891 graduate of Washington College and then went on to the University of Maryland’s School of Pharmacy.
